Connecting a private house

The connection cost of a private house depends on the house itself. The cable comes in from above - from the roof through the attic or along the facade, and sometimes as an overhead line from the nearest pole. A hole is drilled in the wall of the room where the router will be. That is why we always look at the house on site before connecting: we drop by when working near you, and after the visit we tell you the exact cost and agree on a date.

We bring the internet cable into the house up to your router. On the way we can carefully drill holes and pull the cable where you tell us; laying and hiding it (in a trunking, skirting or wall) is up to you or your contractor. We do not install in-house wiring, CCTV or cables between buildings.

Power line poles are not free

Power line poles belong to the grid company. A communication cable can be placed on them only under a contract with it and for a monthly fee for each pole. The prices are set by the grid company; they are official and change every year.

A connection from the nearest pole is more complex and costly than usual: it needs an outdoor cable with a support wire. If the cable has to run along several poles to the house, this is possible only by separate agreement: a contract is signed with the grid company, and the subscriber pays the pole fee on top of the monthly fee.

Fiber is easy to run between apartment buildings. Between private houses - only if the neighbours agree to a cable over their plot, and they rarely do.

For example, in the Jewish Autonomous Region in 2026 the fee is RUB 2,020.92 per pole of a 0.4 kV line per year incl. VAT (about RUB 168 per month). With 10 such poles to the house, the poles alone come to about RUB 1,684 per month - more than the monthly fee itself.

Prices of JSC "DRSK" for placing communication lines on poles (official document, in Russian)

The documents on that page are listed by year for each branch: "Электрические сети Еврейской автономной области" (EAO) and "Хабаровские электрические сети" (Khabarovsk).

If you do not want wires over your plot, lay an underground conduit with a pull wire from the property line to the house - then we pull the cable through it, and there are no wires over the plot at all. It is easiest to do during construction or landscaping.

Lines strung on poles without a contract get cut by grid companies - it happens all over the country, and subscribers are left without a connection for a long time. We place cables only under a contract, so we do not do that.
